Tyler Supports LCSP in Editorial
Written on September 24, 2008
On August 20th, the Loudoun Independent newspaper printed an Editorial piece by a local skater, Tyler Smith, which encouraged readers to support us. It says the following:
"To the Editor:
I notice there is a problem with skateboarding in Sterling. I think this problem could be solved by having a skate park built in Sterling. As an avid skater, having a skate park would allow my fellow skaters a better safer location to skate. In a recent survey, it showed there are more than 13,000 skateboarders in Loudoun County.
Loudoun County Skate Project is an organization working on building a skate park in Sterling. Please support Loudoun County Skate Project in bringing a skate park to Sterling."
I was psyched to see such effort that he took in writing this, as it comes not so often from local residents. Thank you Tyler for coming forward and helping the Skate Project become stronger in this community. For everyone else, if just one person showed their support and put it into action like Tyler did here, think about how much help an army of people would do.
